
Battle Of Shuri Castle!!
The battle of Shuri Castle was attended by
the top karate schools in the state of Virginia, and LMKA's Team Intense
came out on top. Team Intense brought 24 competitors and garnered
47 medals.
Including:
4 Grand Champions
22 Gold Medals
16 Silver Medals
9 Bronze Medals
The tournament consisted of individual
competition, as well as, each dojo accumulating points for first,
second, and third place medals. Bonus points were awarded for a
competitor winning a grand championship.
All the 9 and under kata winners competed
for a grand championship belt. Gage Silverman was the winner of
that belt. All the 11 year old - 17 year old beginner
winners competed for a grand champion belt. Brittany Lowe, from
team intense, won that championship belt. Charity Newman won the
grand championship belt in the 11 - 17 Intermediate division. Joey
Kubistek won the grand championship belt in the Adult Male Kumite
Division. Four of the nine grand championship divisions were won
by Team Intense.
