       CURRENT PROGRAMS
At LM Karate
Academy we focus on the individual. A training plan will be
developed around each individual, focusing on enhancing ones strengths
and developing ones weaknesses. Take a look at some of our unique
programs.
Little Dragon Karate
A 2-4 year old program developing coordination, listening skills, and
attention span. A great start point for any sports program. By starting
them young they little ones are developing the necessary skills to be
successful in future endeavors. We find that graduates from our
Little Dragon Program are more advanced physically the peers their
own age.
Kid's Karate
Through the art of Shotokan Karate, children learn self discipline,
control, a respect for tradition, sportsmanship, and work ethic. We have
a wonderful curriculum that is embedded in a deep Japanese tradition.
That curriculum is mixed with a fantastic character development
curriculum.
Adult Karate
In the Adult Karate class the focus is on self-defense and fitness. We
take the traditional karate curriculum one step further and really
explore the true defense concepts, while developing our stamina, muscle
tone, and overall health. Through Kata and Bunkai, effective,
efficient self defense is taught.
Competition Team Training
The focus of this class is to gear our athletes for National and
International competition. The class puts a big emphasis on the
advanced level of Shotokan Karate, from conditioning and cross training to
reading ones opponent and being able to react. Many of our Team
Intense members go onto to be National Champions. This program is
our Olympic Style Karate development program.
Aerobic Kickboxing
This class combines an aerobic workout, an anaerobic workout, and weight
training into one action packed class. The quickest, most effective way
to transform your body.
Okinawa Kobudo
At LM Karate Academy, we teach all the traditional Japanese/Okinawa
weapons. Students learn choreographed fighting techniques as well as
traditional Kobudo (weapons forms). The actual application of the
weapon is taught.
S.A.F.E. Program
Self Awareness For Everyone Program is a street wise self defense
program that breaks self defense down to it's purest form. S.A.F.E. runs
on a four week and six week cycle. The four week cycles teaches the
simple basic reactions to an attack. The six week session goes one step
further. Teaches defense's against rape, knives and attacks from all
angles.
