LM Karate Academy prides itself on the producing good quality Black Belt instructors to continue the training process. A great thanks is owed to these individuals for their dedication, commitment and hard work.
Sensei George Nemeth
Sensei Nemeth holds a Nidan in Shotokan Karate.  He has been training at the LM  Karate Academy since 1996.  Practical Self Defense and Street Safety are his areas of expertise.  He brings a great deal of knowledge to the self defense classes.  Sensei George is a Nationally Certified Coach, as well as ASEP (American Sports Education Program) Certified. 

Sensei Dave Canton
Sensei Canton holds a Nidan in Shotokan Karate.  During his 14 years of training, he has developed an incredible vision for seeing a Kumite fight develop.  His ability to instruct and guide students is second to none.  He is a certified AAU National Coach, America Sports Education Program Certified, and a State and Regional Official.  He has been training at LMKA for 4 years now. 

Sensei Joey Kubistek
Sensei “Joey” started his Martial Arts training at LM Karate Academy in 2000.  He is an incredible young man with an intense work ethic, attitude and joy for teaching.  He is a State, Regional, and National Competitor.  His competitive highlight at this point would be tying for first place at the 2006 AAU National Championship.  He has a great knack for transferring his knowledge to the younger students.   

Assistant Instructors (Sempai)

One of the cornerstones of the LM Karate academy is it's instructor development program. We firmly believe that good teaching breeds great teaching. We must constantly try to train our students to be better than we are. That is the foundation and thought process of or instructor training program.



Sempai Alfred Hills
Sempai Alfred began his training in Shotokan Karate under Shihan Silverman. He has an amazing ability to transfer information to children and beginner adults. He has an amazing ability to keep the younger students focused, hard working, and interested. He is a National Gold Medal Winner. He has been training at LM Karate Academy since 2002.

He will have a long career as am instructor at the LM Karate academy.

Sempai Kelsey Silverman
Sempai Kelsey is a dynamic person.  She has 7 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 3 silver medals in National Competition in just 4 years.  Kelsey has 2 medals from her only Jr. Olympic appearance.  Kelsey has dominated the State and Regional competition scene for the last 4 years.  Besides training and teaching karate, Kelsey performs Irish Dancing, Baton twirling, and is active in the school drama team.

Sempai Olivia Staff
Sempai Olivia’s goal is to one day run a Shotokan Karate School.  With how quickly she has adopted the correct techniques for working with children of all ages, she is well on her way.  She uses humor, patience, and an understanding of a child’s development to ensure her instruction reaches all levels.  She is an asset to the LM Karate instructional team and will be for years to come.    

Sempai Amber Lyon
Sempai Amber has been with the LM Karate Academy since she was 7 years old.  Her dedication to her karate, competitions, the students, and the dojo go unmatched.  Amber is a National Finalist many times over.  She continues to train at an elite level and hopes to make the US National Team and one day compete in the Olympics.  We look for big things from Sempai Amber.   

Mr. Ken McIntire
Besides training in Shotokan Karate, Mr. Ken brings with him a background in Shorin Ryu.  He is an excellent competitor and truly enjoys working with the kids.  He has an impeccable eye for technique.  His ability to make rote repetition something that is fun for the kids is an incredible asset.  He is the future of the LM Karate instructional staff and will be developing good karate for years to come.
